Padmanabhan and Marthandam

Joke of the year

Padmanabhapuram and Marthandam are two famous places in Kanyakumari District 

As luck would have it, my maternal great great grandfather’s name is Marthandam and my paternal grandfather’s name is Padmanabhan, when calculated we three kids are only in this fusion.

So I went to few stores for purchase, as usual they said my Tamil accent is different, so I said I am the granddaughter of Late Marthandam and Late Padmanabhan and I studied abroad thus my Tamil is poor.

To my great surprise they stopped bargaining and stopped showing me fine clothes.

Royalty is a curse.
